2011 marks the 53rd Anniversary of the Byliner Awards! Byliner Awards have been presented annually since 1958 by the Oklahoma City Chapter of The Association for Women in Communications to recognize Oklahoma women who have made a significant contribution or impact in their community. Byliner honorees are recognized at an awards dinner in February of each year.

AWC uses the proceeds from the Byliner Awards Dinner to offer education and resources to members and scholarships to female students pursuing a degree in the communications field. Recipients are selected based on aptitude, achievement and financial need. Every year, the Oklahoma City Chapter of AWC awards between $5,000 and $8,000 in scholarships. Scholarships are awarded at the AWC Bosses Breakfast held in April.

This is Oklahoma's longest running awards program honoring women, so please save the date for Thursday, February 10, 2011 to help recognize and honor the accomplishments of women who've made a significant contribution to the profession and our community.
